The charities we support
Our major shareholder, the Mergon Group, has directed over R500 million to charities via their Mergon
Foundation since King Price launched. The Mergon Foundation is a not-for-profit trust fund that was
established in 1980, following a commitment made by Mergon’s founder Francois van Niekerk to God as he
turned to Him for a lifeline in business.
